The Heads of Government adopted a Regional Strategic and Operational Plan for a Caribbean Reparatory Justice Programme (CRJP), presented by the Regional Reparations Commission, as a basis for further action at the thirty-fifth regular meeting of the Conference of Heads of Government of the Caribbean Community, 1-4 July 2014 which was also held in Antigua and Barbuda.
The Heads also agreed to despatch a Draft Notice of Complaint under cover of a letter from the Chair of the Prime Ministerial Sub-Committee (PMSC) on Reparations, the Rt. Hon. Freundel Stuart, Prime Minister of Barbados, to the relevant European Governments with a request that a Conference be held on the issue.
It was also agreed that the case for Reparations would be further advanced through their statements and other diplomatic forms of engagement at the recently concluded sitting of the UN General Assembly.
The First Regional Conference on Reparations was hosted by the Government of St. Vincent and the Grenadines on 15-17 September, 2013.
