CARICOM pressing ahead on key climate change issues – SG
CARICOM negotiating teams continue to press the case on several key climate change issues as work continues on an outcome document for the UN Climate Change conference, COP 21 in France.
In addition to the flagship temperature rise issue, the Region’s negotiators are also at the forefront of deliberations on special treatment for Small Island and low-lying Developing States (SIDS); loss and damage as distinct from adaptation, REDD-Plus and enhanced financing to support climate change action.
