CARICOM Intersessional Meeting opens Thursday morning in Georgetown

The Twenty-Eighth Intersessional Meeting of the Conference of Heads of Government of the Caribbean Community (CARICOM) takes place at the Marriott Hotel, Georgetown, Guyana on 16 – 17 February, 2017.

An Opening Session will be held from 9:00 a.m. on Thursday 16 February at the Meeting Venue.

Accredited Media Representatives are invited to cover the Opening Session.

Remarks will be delivered by:

  • Secretary-General, Caribbean Community, Ambassador Irwin LaRocque
  • Outgoing Chairman of the Conference of Heads of Government, Honourable Roosevelt Skerrit, Prime Minister of Dominica
  • Chairman of the Conference of Heads of Government, His Excellency Brigadier (Ret’d) David A. Granger, President of the Republic of Guyana


Please make every to arrive at least 30 minutes before the start of the session to facilitate security clearance and the set up of equipment.
