Caribbean Court of Justice turns 18

The Caribbean Court of Justice turned 18 on 16 April 2023.

On 16 April 2005, the Court was formally established as a final court of appeal and an international court to protect the rights provided to CARICOM citizens through the Revised Treaty of Chaguaramas.

“As we celebrate our achievements over the past 18 years, we look forward to even more opportunities to serve the region, as we do our best to become a model of judicial excellence,” the CCJ said in a Twitter post to mark the occasion.
