Stay at Home Order extended
OPM, Trinidad and Tobago, 6 April – Prime Minister Dr the Hon. Keith Rowley made the following announcement today:
Stay at Home Order to be extended to April 30, 2020.
Effective immediately, the Government is recommending that persons who are in public wear masks over their mouths and nostrils. The Government intends to implement a programme of distributing masks to members of the public. The Ministry of Health will provided further details.
Hardware stores, including electrical and plumbing establishments will be permitted to be open from the hours of 8:00 am to 12:00 pm (noon), from Mondays to Saturdays;
Retail services, such as discount stores, markets, supermarkets, fruit stalls or shops, vegetable stall or shops, bakeries and “parlours”, which provide food or medicine or other necessities of life – will be required to close to the public by 6:00 pm daily;
Wholesale stores for the provision of food, medicine or other necessities of life will be required to close by 4:00 pm daily;
Pharmacies will be required to close to the public by 8:00 pm daily.
