Secretary General of the Organization of American States (OAS), José Miguel Insulza, on Wednesday held a meeting with the Minister of National Security of Jamaica, Peter Bunting, and the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade, AJ Nicholson, within the framework of the visit by the leader of the hemispheric Organization to the Caribbean country.

During the meeting with the high-level Jamaican authorities, Secretary General Insulza shared his vision on the major economic, social and political issues of the Hemisphere, and discussed issues related to citizen security, the challenges of migration and development prospects for the region. The meeting also served as an opportunity to review the preparations for the Seventh Summit of the Americas, to be held in Panama in April 2015. (oas.org)
