Dominica has joined the growing list of CARICOM countries with no active COVID-19 cases.

Prime Minister Roosevelt Skerrit, in a national address Sunday, announced that all 16 positive cases have recovered. The confirmed cases had remained at 16 for several weeks.

Prime Minister Skerrit said the country must however remain vigilant, even as he announced the easing of restrictions in some additional areas of the economy.  He named hair salons and barber shops, sulphur spas, manicure and pedicure and massage parlours, as areas to be reopened.

He also announced that guidelines are being developed to allow for the gradual resumption of travel beginning with regional travel in July.
