‘CARICOM Identity Belongs to all of us’ – PM Rowley
Prime Minister of Trinidad and Tobago, Dr. the Hon. Keith Rowley, has praised the ‘I AM CARICOM’ Communications Campaign.
The Campaign was launched in the margins of the Tenth Meeting of the Caribbean Community (CARICOM) Committee of Ambassadors held in Guyana, in November 2019. It aims to increase visibility and understanding of CARICOM among citizens of the Community, as well as to facilitate continuing dialogue between the implementing partners and citizens of the Community where perspectives and information on the scope, issues, process, expected deliverables, and benefits and implications for citizens can be shared.
At the opening of the Forty-Second Meeting of the Conference of Heads of Government of CARICOM on 5 July 2021, PM Rowley highlighted CARICOM’s value to the Region.
PM Rowley, who was CARICOM Chairman from 1 January 2021 to 30 June 2021, said the CARICOM identity belonged “to all of us”.
