Thirty-fifth anniversary greetings to St. Vincent and the Grenadines
Congratulatory message from CARICOM Secretary-General Ambassador Irwin LaRocque to Prime Minister of St. Vincent and the Grenadines Dr. the Honourable Ralph Gonsalves.
It is my pleasure on behalf of the Caribbean Community (CARICOM), to extend warmest congratulations to the Government and People of St. Vincent and the Grenadines on the occasion of the country’s 35th anniversary of Independence. The theme of this year’s celebration ‘Working Together to Enhance National Pride’ resonates with the ideals of the Caribbean Community as we seek to strengthen our integration by working even more closely together.
The pride in their country enabled the citizens of St. Vincent and the Grenadines to come together and rebuild the nation after the devastating storms of last December. Such dedication and commitment has also benefitted the regional integration movement as St. Vincent and the Grenadines has always been a stalwart in advancing the interests of CARICOM. The depth of that commitment is embodied in you, Prime Minister, who have time and again demonstrated your fervent support for Caribbean unity.
I join with the Caribbean Community, Honourable Prime Minister, in extending best wishes for the continued advancement of St Vincent and the Grenadines and for the well-being of its People.
