Trinidad and Tobago’s Prime Minister Dr. Hon. Keith Rowley has named Senator Dennis Moses as Foreign and CARICOM Minister in his Cabinet of Ministers, most of whom were sworn in on Friday.

CHANGE IN GOVERNMENT MINISTRIES

Seven Government ministries which were introduced or modified under the People’s Partnership were removed by the PNM administration.

Those axed were the Ministry of the People; Ministry of Gender; Ministry of Youth and Child Development; Ministry of Arts and Multiculturalism; Ministry of Justice; Ministry of Science, Technology and Tertiary Education; Ministry of Food Production; Ministry of Environment and Water Resources, Ministry of National Diversity and Social Integration.

Seven other ministries were revised. The Ministries of Works and Infrastructure were combined by the PNM to form a Ministry of Works and Transport, and the Ministry Local Government was combined with a new ministry of Rural Development.

The new Government reintroduced the ministries of Agriculture, and Ministry of Social Development.
