More heavy rains pound Dominica

Storm-hit Dominica was Friday afternoon again being pounded by heavy rains associated with the remnants of Tropical Storm Grace.

The island is currently recovering from widespread devastation caused by the 27 August passage of Tropical Storm Erika.

Erika left more than 30 persons dead and forced the complete evacuation of at least one community.  Government has declared nine special disaster areas across the country.

Officials in Dominica have cautioned residents to exercise extreme care while the rains continue.
