Trinidad and Tobago holds youth forum on statistics
Sixth form students in Trinidad and Tobago will have the opportunity to focus on statistics at a Youth Forum on Friday organised to mark Caribbean Statistics Day and World Statistics Day. The Days were observed on 15 and 20 October, respectively, under the theme `Better Data, Better Lives’.
The Youth Forum for students who are interested in statistics and economics, is organised by the Central Statistics Office (CSO) of the Ministry of Planning and Development of Trinidad and Tobago.
The focus of the activities will be on the role of statistics in national development and its crucial role in decision-making across cultural and historical backgrounds of countries, irrespective of their level and development.
The CSO has invited the Ministry of Education to join in the celebration as there will be a number of statistical presentations, and educational prizes for students.
