SG engages leading Brazilian diplomatic academy

CARICOM Secretary-General Ambassador Irwin LaRocque, on a visit to Brazil, took time out on Monday for a dialogue with the Head and students of the Rio Branco Institute, a leading school of diplomacy in Brasilia.

The Rio Branco Institute (Portuguese – Instituto Rio Branco), graduate school of International Relations and diplomatic academy, was established in 1945 and run by the Ministry of External Relations of Brazil.  Graduation from the Institute is an entrance point to a diplomatic career in Brazil.
