Guyanese vote in Local Government Elections
The people of Guyana vote today in Local Government Elections. The Guyana Elections Commission (GECOM) says 507,633 electors have registered to cast their votes.
Three political parties, 17 voluntary groups and 63 individual candidates are contesting today’s elections. Poling stations were scheduled to be opened at 6:00 this morning.
