CARICOM Chair attends Haiti President inauguration

His Excellency President David Granger and a delegation from Guyana will be in Port-au- Prince from February 6-7 2017, to attend the Inauguration Ceremony of the President elect of the Republic of Haiti, Mr. Jovenel Moïse.

The President, who is accompanied by Vice President and Minister of Foreign Affairs, Mr. Carl Greenidge and Director General of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ms. Audrey Waddell among others, is attending in his capacity not only as Head of State of Guyana but also as Chairman of the Caribbean Community (CARICOM), the Ministry of the Presidency said.

The Ministry of the Presidency said that in addition to the main inaugural ceremony, President Granger will also be attending several other activities organised to mark the occasion including a Dinner hosted by the President elect.
