(Barbados Nation) The final decision on the future of cash-strapped LIAT is expected later this week as the regional airline came into focus during an all-day meeting at Hilton Barbados.

Prime Minister Mia Mottley; Minister of Tourism Kerrie Symmonds; chairman of the LIAT shareholder governments, Prime Minister Dr Ralph Gonsalves of St Vincent, and trade union representatives were at the negotiating table for more than eight hours before calling it quits just after 5:30 p.m.

THE NATION has been reliably informed that officials have been asked to come up with a number of proposals to present to Mottley before weekend.
