West Indies begin World Cup cricket campaign today

West Indies play their first match in the 2015 cricket World Cup today, when they meet Ireland at the Saxton Oval in New Zealand.

The match is scheduled to begin at 6:00 pm Eastern Caribbean time.

New West Indies captain Jason Holder appeared confident about a successful start for the regional team when he met the media for a pre-match interview.
