Requirements for entry to Jamaica during COVID-19

Requirements for Residents

1 Application

  • Log on to jamcovid19.moh.gov.jm and click on immigration
  • Enter your email address. A one-time password (OTP) will be sent to your email to authenticate your account.
  • Fill in your personal information requested: Name, DOB, Passport #, location, etc.
  • Answer the health questions.
  • Provide the home quarantine assessment information.
  • Provide consents to a series of declarations.

2 Request for additional information

  • Based on a review of your application, you may be requested to provide any missing information or additional information for the consideration of your application.

3 Travel Authorisation

  • Use your travel authorisation to make your travel arrangements and keep a printed or electronic copy with you along with your ticket and passport to check-in and board your flight. Please note that you will not be able to board the flight without your travel authorisation.
  • Before you board your flight, you are encouraged to fill out the Immigration and Customs Declaration (C5) online at enterjamaica.com.

Requirements for Non-residents

All residents of USA, Brazil, Dominican Republic, Panama and Mexico who are 12 years of age or over, will be required to present a COVID-19 PCR or Antigen test that has been authorized by the United States Food and Drug Administration (FDA) under an Emergency Use Authorization (EUA) or meets the standards of the World Health Organisation (WHO), to the airline representative at check in. The date of the test sample collection must be less than 10 days from the date of travel.

A negative test result must be presented in order to complete check in for a flight.

Requirements for Other Countries:

1 Submit Application

  • Enter your email address. A One-Time Password (OTP) will be sent to authenticate your account.
  • Fill in the Personal, Health and Intended Stay in Jamaica information.
  • Provide consent and declaration.
  • Complete the Immigration and Customs Form (C5).
  • Submit your application.

2 Health Risk Assessment

  • Your application will be reviewed and a Covid-19 health risk assessment conducted.

3 Communication

  • If successful, you will receive an email with your Travel Authorisation.
  • If your health risk assessment level is above the threshold, you will receive an email recommending you do not travel to Jamaica at this time.

4 Travel Authorisation

  • Save an electronic or printed copy of the Travel Authorisation as you will need to show it to an airline agent at check-in, or when boarding your flight.

5 Check if you need to get tested

Get a COVID-19 PCR or Antigen test that has been authorized by the United States Food and Drug Administration (FDA) under an Emergency Use Authorization (EUA) or meets the standards of the World Health Organisation (WHO), if you are a resident of USA, Brazil, Dominican Republic, Panama or Mexico and are 12 years of age or older.

  • The test sample must be collected less than 10 days from the date of travel.
  • The test must be conducted by a CLIA registered or ISO certified laboratory.

Take the test result with you as you will need to present it to the airline representative at check in for your flight.
