CYA at Arms Trade Treaty Conference prep meeting

Kishore Shallow, Vice Dean, Information and Communication, CARICOM Youth Ambassadors (CYA) Corps, attended the First Preparatory Meeting Toward the First Conference of the State Parties to the Arms Trade Treaty in Port of Spain, Trinidad and Tobago. Representatives from Guyana, Jamaica, and Trinidad and Tobago also attended the meeting over two days, 23–24 February 2015.

Youth Ambassador Shallow said the representatives of the Caribbean civil society remained supportive of CARICOM governments  in discussion with other global leaders on their mandate to implement an ATT that would save lives from gun violence and promote peace and security in the Region.
