St John’s, Antigua – Minister of Sports Paul ‘Chet’ Greene has described the public’s support for the first Test between England and the West Indies at Sir Vivian Richards Cricket Ground (SVRCG) as “heartening”, while crediting a number agencies for ensuring its success.

“Heartened, satisfied, grateful, thankful and I want to commend you, JoJo, and everybody in the media for the role you played in really bringing Antiguans and Barbudans out to this Test match. I want to say thanks for all the support we had from the various government agencies that work in concern to make it happen. It was just a national effort that I think we all should be proud of and have the right to be proud of in the way we collaborated and worked as one,” he said.
