Strong CARICOM presence as EU-CELAC Summit opens today in Brussels

Several CARICOM Heads of Government are in Brussels for the 2nd EU-CELAC Summit, which opens today and concludes tomorrow.

The Summit, under the theme “Shaping our common futures: Working for prosperous, cohesive and sustainable societies for our citizens” brings together 61 Heads of State and Government from Europe, Latin America and the Caribbean. They will discuss bi-regional and global issues, and seek to deepen political dialogue on citizen-oriented initiatives, with special focus on sustainable growth, education, security and climate change.
