Dominicans pay last respects to former President

Dominicans and well-wishers of all walks of life on Thursday flooded the State House Conference Center to pay their respects to the late former President of Dominica, His Excellency Dr. Nicholas Liverpool.

The sixth President of Dominica passed away in Miami on June 1.

From 8.30 to 10.30 am, the body of the former President lay in state as the present President of Dominica, His Excellency Charles Savarin and Mrs. Savarin, Prime Minister Roosevelt Skerrit and Mrs. Skerrit, Cabinet Ministers, members of the diplomatic corps, other government and top ranking officials paid their respects and sympathised with family members.
