SGs Meet – International Financing for Development conference

Secretary-General, Caribbean Community (CARICOM), Ambassador Irwin LaRocque (l) and Secretary-General, African, Caribbean and Pacific group of States (ACP), Guyanese Dr. Patrick Gomes in discussion during the 3rd International Financing for Development conference, now taking place in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.

The Conference has brought together government, business and civil society leaders to launch a global partnership for financing people-centred sustainable development.

Delegates will look at all available sources of finance and work to direct resources to where they are needed most to promote economic prosperity, and improve health, education and employment opportunities while protecting the environment.

The CARICOM Secretary-General will address the conference on Thursday.
