Tropical Storm Danny to become a hurricane this week – potential threat to Eastern Caribbean

Tropical Storm Danny was this morning located about 1,445 miles east of the Windward Islands in the eastern Atlantic Ocean. Maximum sustained winds were 50 miles per hour with higher gusts.
The tropical storm is forecast to steadily strengthen as it moves west-northwest over the next several days. Danny is forecast to become a hurricane later this week and is expected to reach the islands of the Eastern Caribbean early next week.
