As is customary, schools from as far as Berbice visited the CARICOM Secretariat as part of activities to mark the event. Some of the Schools that visited included the Canje Secondary School, the Saraswat Primary School and the Vryheid’s Lust Primary School. Many primary and secondary schools  tour various organizations and institutions in Georgetown such as the President’s Office, the CARICOM Secretariat, and the Ogle Airport as part of their Mashramani activities. The students said they were very excited to see the inside of the building. They  also conveyed that they learned a lot from the experience and promised to share what they learned with peers from their school who did not get the opportunity to visit.
