CARICOM saddened by fatal accident in Saint Lucia
Caribbean Community (CARICOM) Secretary-General, Ambassador Irwin LaRocque has extended condolences to the Government and people of Saint Lucia, following the vehicular accident earlier this month that claimed the lives of four persons, included two young children.
In a message to Saint Lucia Prime Minister Kenny Anthony, Ambassador LaRocque said that the “gruesome nature of the deaths has shocked our Community as much as the people in the home village of the deceased and the teachers and pupils of the school attended by the children”.

“The Caribbean Community (CARICOM) is saddened by the four deaths resulting from the vehicular accident on the Bexon Highway, Saint Lucia. This grief is compounded by the fact that two of the victims were young children.
The gruesome nature of the deaths has shocked our Community as much as the people in the home village of the deceased and the teachers and pupils of the school attended by the children.
The Community extends its condolences to the bereaved families and to the Government and People of Saint Lucia as they cope with this most distressing occurrence.”
