CARICOM Secretary-General on official visit to Japan

Caribbean Community (CARICOM) Secretary-General Ambassador Irwin LaRocque is currently in Japan on an official visit. On Monday, he delivered a lecture to diplomats, university students, professors and business persons on the evolution of CARICOM, and CARICOM-Japan relations.
The Secretary-General also held discussions with representatives of the Climate Change Division of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Japan; as well as with State Minister, Mr Nobuo Kishi. Secretary-General LaRocque also attended a traditional Japanese dinner hosted by Mr. Takahiro Nakamae, Assistant Minister and Director General of the Latin American and Caribbean Affairs Bureau.
