Secretary General of the Caribbean Community Ambassador Irwin LaRocque met with CARICOM Youth Ambassadors on Monday during an orientation and capacity building workshop being hosted at the CARICOM Secretariat June 5-8,2017. Among the issues ventilated by the CYAs were policies in relation to the importation of GMOs in the Region, more national support for youth initiatives and capacity building for the youth.

The Secretary General also made a brief statement where he told the youngsters that their advocacy was important in the integration movement. According to SG LaRocque integration was not just the Secretariat’s path but a path for everyone. He said integration was a journey that was never finished.
