Chile President arrives for talks with CARICOM Heads of Government
President of the Republic of Chile, Her Excellency Michele Bachelet touched down in Guyana on Monday evening to hold discussions with the Caribbean Community (CARICOM) Heads of Government who are meeting here in Georgetown, Guyana, for their 37th Regular Meeting.
President Bachelet is a special guest of the Heads of Government and will have talks with them on Monday.
In his address at the Opening Ceremoy of the Meeting on Monday, CARICOM Secretary-General, Ambassador Irwin LaRocque described Chile as a “country with which the Community has had long-standing friendly and cooperative links”.
We look forward to a fruitful exchange of views with Her Excellency on areas of mutual interest,” he said.
