Country readies for Best of Saint Lucia celebrations, this week

National Colours Day and a youth talent showcase on February 21, will precede the annual parade and performances on February 22.

Sen. Hon. Fortuna Belrose, the minister with responsibility for Culture and Local Government, has called on Saint Lucians to continue to participate in the activities held to mark Saint Lucia’s 38th anniversary of Independence.

“It is about making that commitment to change things,” she said.

“Saint Lucia belongs to all of us and this is our time to show that we are patriotic, and that we are part of the celebrations.”

This past weekend, the Government of Saint Lucia hosted the National Sports Awards on February 18 at the National Cultural Centre, celebrating achievers from all sports disciplines.
