Dominica’s main Douglas Charles airport was flooded Thursday as the island felt the full brunt of Tropical Storm Erika.  There are reports of several deaths and widespread destruction of property.

Regional airline LIAT has announced that due to the flooding of the airport’s runway all flights into and out of Dominica have been cancelled.  Its flights north of Antigua-Barbuda have also been cancelled.
