Dominica’s Students, Public Servants told to remain at home today – heavy rains continue

Dominica’s Prime Minister Hon. Roosevelt this morning called on students and public servants to remain at home as more rains pound the storm-hit island. The Prime Minister released the following statement:

Parents, guardians and teachers are advised that there shall be no school today, Tuesday 15th September due to the weather conditions.
Public officers should also stay home and we are encouraging the private sector to take the similar decision.
Meanwhile, the Dominica Met Service says ‘a tropical wave will continue to generate showers and isolated thunderstorm activity across the area during the next 12 to 24 hours’.
