Excellent opportunity for meaningful engagement – PM Holness tells BRICS Plus Summit

Chairman of the Caribbean Community (CARICOM) the Most Hon. Andrew Holness, Prime Minister of Jamaica on Friday addressed the BRICS Plus Summit in Johannesburg, South Africa. He was specially invited to attend and participate in his capacity as Chair of the Community. He told participants at the Summit that Jamaica and the Caribbean needed to gain access to new sources of financial support for the implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals. He also spoke of the need for cooperation to further the cause of sustainable and inclusive economic development, and to translate support into action and prosperity for our peoples.
