Fastest woman, Elaine Thompson, eyes 200m

Elaine Thompson of Jamaica Saturday night won the gold medal in the women’s 100m race at the Rio Olympics and, in the process, dashed the hopes of a three-peat performance by her compatriot, Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce.
Fraser-Pryce was gunning for an historic third consecutive 100m gold at the Olympics. She finished third.
