HRD Consultations take place in Belize

The CARICOM Secretariat along with the Human Resource Development Commission  is hosting a series of national consultations across the Region in its quest to develop a strategy that will shape the future of the Region’s education and human resources.

The consultations for Belize took place on October 31, 2016 and was supported by representatives of various sectors including persons in the field of education. The Regional Consultations follow the launch of the HRD Commission in May this year. Since the launch, a draft of the HRD Strategy was done. This document will be further shaped based on the outcomes of the consultations.

So far, consultations have been held in Guyana, Suriname and Trinidad and Tobago, St. Lucia and Barbados. Consultations are also scheduled for The Bahamas, Jamaica and the Associate Member States.  For the OECS, consultations were held in St. Lucia with representation from the Eastern Caribbean Member States.
