Jamaica’s Emancipation and Independence celebrations kick off today

Jamaica’s National Emancipation and Independence celebrations will begin today, Sunday (July 26), with Church services across the island.

Minister of Youth and Culture, Hon. Lisa Hanna, said the Church services will formally begin a week of celebrations that showcase the theme: ‘Proud and Free! Jamaica 53’
