Montserrat ferry to assist Dominica – Premier Romeo
Premier of Montserrat, the Honourable Donaldson Romeo, was able to speak with the Prime Minister of Dominica, the Honourable Roosevelt Skerrit , on Sunday August 30th, 2015.
Premier Romeo has indicated that despite the challenging situation which Dominica faces, Prime Minister Roosevelt, like a true leader, continues to remain calm and focused.
Assurances of condolences and support from the Government and the people of Montserrat were expressed.…
Montserrat will extend it’s Ferry Services to Dominica, so that persons traveling to and from Dominica can be facilitated.
In the meantime the Governments of Montserrat and Antigua will concretize plans to have the Montserrat Ferry deploy collectively, about (90) ninety military persons to Dominica, by Tuesday September 1st, 2015, to assist with the search, rescue and clean-up process.
