Mr. President!

Haiti’s new President H.E. Jovenel Moise took the oath of Office today, Tuesday 7 February 2017 in Port au Prince.

The 48 year old Moise, a banana exporter, had won the first round of voting in October 2015, but the results were annulled and a re-run held in November 2016 in which he won 55 percent of votes cast.

CARICOM Chairman, President David Granger of Guyana, represented the Community at the inauguration of the new Haitian President.
