Relations with Japan strengthened at recent ministerial summit

Jamaica’s Foreign Minister Senator A.J. Nicholson, says the recent CARICOM/Japan Ministerial Meeting held in Tokyo, Japan, provided the opportunity for the strengthening of relations with Japan, both at the bilateral and regional levels.

Reporting on the outcome of the meeting to Parliament, Senator Nicholson said:

It is my hope that Japan and CARICOM, and indeed Jamaica, will benefit from the progress made on the initiatives we agreed on in our discussions in Tokyo.”
