Risk Communications skills being strengthened in wake of Ebola threat

The PAHO/WHO organised workshop, is expected to help develop and implement innovative Health Communications strategies, with a focus on current and potential risks to people’s health in influenza-like illness, dengue-hemorrhagic fever, Chikungunya, and Ebola. CARICOM is participating actively in the workshop, which draws participants from the English, French and Dutch speaking Caribbean. CARICOM has identified Advancing Health and Wellness and Public Education, Public Information and Advocacy as two  of the priority areas for focused attention, as it implements a new Community Strategic Plan – 2015-2019.
