Scenes from Caribbean Week of Agriculture 2018
The 15th edition of the Caribbean Week of Agriculture (CWA) wraps up today in Bridgetown, Barbados.
The theme of the week of activities is ‘Strengthening agriculture for a healthier future in the Region’. The CWA, which officially opened on Wednesday evening a the Lloyd Erskine Sandiford Centre, featured a number of workshops around the theme and on specific topics such as the Region’s coconut industry; youth employment and entrepreneurship; climate resilience in the agriculture and fisheries sectors, small ruminants and school-feeding programme. A MarketPlace and Trade Show also opened on Wednesday and concludes on Friday.
