Secretary-General meets Bahamian Prime Minister

CARICOM Secretary-General, Ambassador Irwin LaRocque called on Prime Minister of The Bahamas, Hon. Perry Christie, today Monday, November 17, 2014.

The two discussed a range of issues, including ways in which the Region could leverage the strengths of its people to promote growth and development.  Prime Minister Christie assumes the Chair of CARICOM on January 1, 2015, for six months. The 26th Inter-sessional Meeting of the Conference of CARICOM Heads will be held in The Bahamas in February.
