St Vincent and the Grenadines observes national day of mourning

KINGSTOWN, St Vincent — On Thursday, St Vincent and the Grenadines officially mourned the loss of at least five young lives in what has become known as the Rock Gutter tragedy.
A statement from the Office of the Prime Minister Dr Ralph Gonsalves said that cabinet had declared January 22 a national day of mourning for those persons who lost their lives as a result of the tragic accident on January 12
Flags continued to fly at half-mast and media houses were asked to play appropriate music during the period.
