CARICOM youth benefit from Animae Caribe 2014
Youngsters from CARICOM Member States, including Guyana and Jamaica, are currently benefiting from the Animae Caribe Animation Festival in Trinidad and Tobago. The annual festival, which is in its 10th year, runs from 27 October to 2 November 2014, with an emphasis on gaming and alternative digital platforms for Caribbean and global content.
Animation is currently a multi-billion dollar industry that is growing globally at a rate of 12% per annum, with an estimated current worth of US$115 billion.
With 10 years of experience in the Region under its belt, the animation industry is poised to become a fundamental sector that will provide substantial returns to investors and shape the future development of the entire Caribbean region.
