1.5 to Stay Alive – Big hit at COP 21, Paris, France
CARICOM artistes Aaron Silk of Jamaica and Adrian Martinez of Belize have added a Caribbean Community flavor to the UN Climate Change conference, COP 21 in Paris, France.
The two artistes have been performing at the Caribbean Pavilion. They are captured here belting out the Region’s theme song for the conference “1.5 to Stay Alive”.
Caribbean Community Member States are pressing the international community to commit to keeping global temperature rises below 1.5 degrees above the pre-industrial levels. They hope this will be reflected in the Paris outcome document to the issued at the close of the conference on Friday.
