CDF holds meeting of contributors, development partners
The Seventh Meeting of Contributors and Development Partners of the CARICOM Development Fund (CDF) was held Tuesday 13 November, 2018, in Bridgetown, Barbados. The Meeting was held as the CDF celebrates its 10th anniversary.
The Hon. Michael Browne, Minister of Education, Science and technology of Antigua and Barbuda delivered the feature address at the Meeting. He praised the CARICOM Institution for the work it was doing, and pointed out that that since it was created a decade ago, the CDF had made a significant impact in the Region.
The CDF, which is based in Barbados, was launched in 2008 with a mandate to support “disadvantaged countries, regions and sectors” within the Caribbean Community (CARICOM) by providing grants, loans and technical assistance to assist various sectors and businesses to grow and become more competitive.
