Await official announcement – Head of CARICOM Observer Mission urges Guyanese

The CARICOM Elections Observer Mission headed by Jamaica, Mr. Earl Simpson,on Wednesday afternoon held a press conference to present the Mission’s interim report on the Guyana polls. Mr. Simpson, who was accompanied by the Mission’s Deputy Head, Ms. Josephine Tamai of Belize, said the elections were free, fair and transparent and that the results should reflect the will of the people. He also encouraged the Guyanese electorate to await the announcement of the official results.
