Barbados named in international tourism competitive index top 10
BRIDGETOWN, Barbados – Barbados has been named in the top ten of the World Economic Forum’s 2015 Travel and Tourism Competitiveness Index.
The report ranks 141 countries revealing how well they could deliver sustainable economic and societal benefits through their travel and tourism sector.
Spain tops the list and the report notes that its leadership position is helped by a world class ranking in cultural resource, its ability to support online searches for entertainment – a measure of how well the country has adapted to consumption habits brought on by the digital revolution – as well as excellent infrastructure.
