BELMOPAN, Belize, Nov 6, CMC – Prime Minister Dean Barrow is expected to choose his cabinet over the weekend as he took the oath of office for a third consecutive time as Prime Minister of Belize late Thursday.

Barrow, 64, an attorney, created history by leading his United Democratic Party (UDP) to a 19-12 victory over the People’s United Party (PUP) in Wednesday’s general election for a third consecutive occasion.
“Only 12 of the 19 can become full ministers. There are returning ministers…there are people with a huge degree of seniority. All that will have to be taken into account. We do want to encourage and reward the newcomers that have done so splendidly…that have done so well, but only 12 persons can become full ministers,” Barrow told reporters.
