Hon. Dean Barrow sworn in for third consecutive term as Belize’s Prime Minister

Dean Oliver Barrow was on Thursday sworn in as the Prime Minister of Belize by the Governor-General His Excellency Sir Colville Young.
The brief ceremony was held at the Belize House in Belmopan. The Prime Minister was accompanied by his wife, children, other relatives and supporters. This is Mr. Barrow’s third consecutive term in office and the third time serving as Prime Minister.
Mr. Barrow, 64, led his United Democratic Party (UDP) to a 19-12 victory over the Peoples United Party (PUP) in Wednesday’s general elections.
The other elected members of Mr. Barrow’s administration are expected to be appointed and sworn-in next week.
